5th Anniversary!

by Kathleen Lynch on March 1, 2015

I am SO GRATEFUL for all of the wonderful clients I have worked with over these last 5 years at Kathleen Kaczuwka Lynch Healing Arts!  Five Years!  Even though I have been doing Massage Therapy and Energy Healing for 26 years,  I am starting my 6th year at The Citadel Building in Uptown Minneapolis!   How cool is that?!  I am counting my blessings! I am SO blessed to be working with THE most remarkable clients! We have worked through so many issues: sports injuries, repetitive injuries, aging injuries, emotional injuries, so much chronic pain and so much stress! You have challenged me to go back and review what I had thought I knew, to learn more, to listen more and listen better, to be more patient and compassionate. I have learned so much about resiliency and determination. Each and every client I see teaches me something new about massage, about being present, attuned and aware, about healing and about this amazing life I have. One of you teaches me Restorative Yoga, one of you gave me meditations you recorded, one of you pushes my boundaries of intuition, one of you encourages me to help out a political campaign,  another prompts me to use more technique. It’s all a fabulous journey we’re having together, ebbing and flowing. It is remarkable and I am so grateful that the wave continues!

So, as I begin my new year I resolve to add to this blog on a more regular basis. I am not so grand a writer, therefore,  I tend to not get around to posting. But I do have plenty of ideas, or ideas of things that are specifically massage related, health related, things that are food for thought for a healthy lifestyle or things that I think are interesting and positive, which can relate to a better life.  I just need to get over it and do it!

I still plan to get on Google Search, Yelp! and Angie’s List. Someone did contact me after seeing my name on the outside of the building.  I have had people who have examined the website tell me that I should get more Testimonials. I have saved each and everyone of the most WONDERFUL testimonials so many of you wrote to Matt Brickman with the WCCO Best Relaxing Massage in Minnesota Poll.  Thank you to each and everyone of you for your most generous and kind words.  A day spa in Redwood Falls took the honors.  (I have documentation that I was in the top 10.  When they last had the polling results on the voting site, I was in 3rd place behind two spas. Pretty cool, huh?  Third Place in Best Relaxation Massage in MN 2014.   I didn’t think to take a screenshot of it because I thought they’d list more than one good place for a great massage.   Silly me… )  If you feel so inclined, any testimonial would be appreciated.

To increase my skills and bring more to my clients I will be taking a Lomi Lomi Massage class this May.  I will also be building a holiday around the training.  I will be returning with a new skill and a clearer head–renewed energy.  A week of Lomi Lomi and a week of body surfing–what could be better?!

With the new year and a new season comes lots more activity.  Whether it’s Spring cleaning, planting the garden, grass mowing or starting a new softball league, don’t forget to stretch, use RICE right away on those injuries and pulls, [R-rest I-ice C-compress E-elevate], drink enough water and put my number on speed dial so that you can Get a Massage!
